RONA CAMILLE M. LIZARDO-AGUSTIN is a licensed/Professional Food Technologist and an Associate Professor at the Institute of Food Science and Technology, College of Agriculture and Food Science, University of the Philippines Los Baños. She began her career as an Instructor at the university after graduating magna cum laude in the BS Food Technology program in 2009. She pursued her Master in Food Science degree in the same university from 2010 to 2013 and graduated with an Academic Achievement Award. In 2020, She earned her PhD in Biotechnology (Functional Food Processing) at the Dong-A University, Busan, South Korea. Her areas of expertise and interest include Food Biochemistry, Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals, Food Product Innovation, and Sensory Evaluation. She has mentored BS FST, BS ABT, MS and PhD Food Science students up to date. She has also served as a resource person during training and short courses on Sensory Evaluation of Foods, Food Processing and Preservation, and Food Product Development and Innovation. Currently, Assoc. Prof. Lizardo-Agustin pursues research studies related to nutraceuticals and functional food development for the emerging consumer market.
