Patent-Tero is a team game that simulates the processes involved in Intellectual Property (IP) management — from R&D to commercialization. It was primarily designed for participants to understand the process flow practiced by Technology Transfer Officers (TTOs) in commercializing the technology.

The participants assume the role of TTOs as they navigate their way to pass all stages until they reach their goal — to commercialize one technology generated from R&D activities.

The game also consists of hurdles in the form of mini-games which are based on real-life challenges often experienced by TTOs.
